This passphrase generator allows you to select the maximum length of passphrase before generating. This project (xkpasswd) has the Adaptive Padding setting, but it's not obvious to a new user that it's available or how to use it. Unfortunately, there are websites that still restrict the maximum length of passwords, so such a feature is needed. That tool also simplifies the selection of words by using the parameters of max phrase length and number of words to automatically select word length.
This now-lost and saved by the Inernet Archive passphrase generator randomizes separator characters between each word instead of using the same one between all words of the phrase. Although this doesn't add significantly more entropy, it's a good option to have. The same goes for using any character as a separator instead of just appending numbers at the front or the end of the phrase.
