Redis cache

Is the redis cache needed?
Reedis would needs to be installed on a linux installation.
But the customers that are using our software do all have windows servers...

No, Redis cache is optional feature of Jimmer. it cannot be used as pure database-only ORM

You can use jimmer's cache or your cache solution. it is not required.

Windows also support redis.

Once the cache is used, the data modification will strictly become the ultimate consistency, and the difficulty of the project will increase significantly. If you are not familiar with the development of such applications, it is not recommended to integrate Redis.

The final consistency of the cache will bring a delay of data synchronization, unless you are convinced that your system can not carry the pressure without cache, don’t use it easily
