Blocklists only apply after a container restart or after 24 hours when changed.

Related issue c-mueller/ads#47

When fixed upstream this should be solved.

After giving this more thought, the blocklists and blockhosts will be removed.

By keeping the basic DNS forwarding in place a downstream app like pi-hole can serve this purpose better
