Any plans for an official React Native npm package? #42
Comments
Thank you for opening an issue. We currently do not have plan to release official npm package for React Native or component library. Do you also mind filling out here, which would help us in prioritizing this feature. In the form there is a field "“Tell us about your project:”. You can put the link of this GitHub issue there. I'll add enhancement label and keep this issue updated if there is any change. |
Thank you @hokyungh for your reply and keeping a place where we can subscribe to updates. I filled out the form you linked to with the required information and a description of the feature request. Also, I'd like to reference an open issue in the Chime SDK iOS repo that could be implicitly related to this which is the creation of a Cocoa Pod for the framework that could be used with the official npm package to streamline integration of the Chime SDK. aws/amazon-chime-sdk-ios#59 |

any update? |
Hi all, we currently do not have a plan for an official React Native npm package at the moment. Apologies for the inconvenience. |
Does AWS and the Chime SDK team have any plans to create, or currently working on creating an official React Native npm package for Chime SDK?
Also creating React Native components like https://github.com/aws/amazon-chime-sdk-component-library-react is doing for ReactJS?
I ask because our plans are currently to start working on our own internally but of course an official maintained version by the Chime SDK team and the community that we could contribute to instead would be favoured.
