The use of Browser Mod (at least 2.0 but seeing it with older versions) is killing this dashboard/theme experience.

After installing Browser Mod, my home assistant is damn near unusable. Everything runs real slow, I can't get anywhere, HA is constantly disconnecting and restarting.

There are multiple issues in the Browser Mod github related to this issue that don't appear to be getting fixed. Once I uninstalled Browser Mod, everything seems to be running better. I'm wondering if this was more likely your issue you posted in the main Read Me under Setup and Hardware.

Just to list a few:

I've uninstalled Browser Mod. we'll see if doing so makes your theme/dashboard unusable as well.

Thanks for the heads up, I will see how to remove browser mod if I can.
Browser mod do 2 things in this dashboard :

  • Customizing Popups (currently only one popup, the one for the settings on the taskbar)
  • Auto Change the light/dark theme on the wall tablet ( work half the time because the tablet ID change)

Do you know work around for these ?

I am still building up my HomeOS dashboard.

I never got the light/dark theme to switch. All other actions in the automation work (changing the map) but never the theme itself. Since I haven't gotten to the task bar settings yet, I'm guessing the custom pop up won't be much of a loss (based on what I've seen so far).

My stability has made a huge improvement after removing Browser Mod.
