Make request with return type and allow handling of error body as json string

I would like the ability to make a request whilst specifying a return type, but not have it throw an exception when the request fails because it still tries to deserialise the response to the return type class. Instead, I would like another method on the Response class to return the resource/content/body as a string (that could then be logged out easily)
