Description
Which feature or functionality are you missing in Audacious?
What makes it beneficial for users?

At the level of playlists, it would be useful to have the option to export any playing song(s) to another playlist. The idea behind this is loading a massive library into 1 playlist and allowing users to selectively pick some songs and have them separated into different playlists, perhaps existing ones and perhaps new ones.

Currently the only method of achieving this is to create a new playlist and manually adding file to it. Because audacious prioritizes the "playlist lifestyle" then it is only logical to add more interoperability amongst playlist such as copy(or moving) any song currently in one opened playlist into another opened playlist.

Suggestion of implementation:
Method 1. Single right click on any song -> copy to -> OR
Method 2. Drag & drop any song listed in any playlist over any playlist name and (perhaps) offer a submenu of options including: add to playlist and etc. Why perhaps? because of etc! Not sure if there are more features needed at that level?

Additional information

  • Do other audio players offer this feature? Unconfirmed but am certain Clementine does
