Just browsing the database, and seeing scores of 67.5049582071182 for the avg_quality of reads corresponding to some taxa:
{'taxon_id': 820, 'fastq_1': 's3://mscapetest-published-binned-reads/C-DE52A80DD0/820_1.fastq.gz', 'fastq_2': 's3://mscapetest-published-binned-reads/C-DE52A80DD0/820_2.fastq.gz', 'n_reads': 3259646, 'human_readable': 'Bacteroides uniformis', 'avg_quality': 67.5049582071182, 'mean_len': 98.64120551740895, 'tax_level': 'S'}
I thought FASTQ scores were <42 so the formula must be wrong in extract_taxa
