If this model exists and has a 512 KB eeprom, it could be useful for storing more memory channels... or static data (images, fonts, etc.). That's all. The firmware is uploaded to the flash memory embedded by the ARM Cortex M0...

More seriously, I've been using the same K5s for 9 months and developing on them for 6 months. I've probably flashed it thousands of times and done thousands of reads/write to the eeprom (channel saves, settings saves, etc.). No problems whatsoever. Don't worry about that 😌
