Are you on bash or on zsh? With the latter, it should be easier, since zsh supports themes: you can see some themes for oh-my-git here https://github.com/arialdomartini/oh-my-git-themes
With bash, I think so far the only option is to fork the repo, and change the file prompt.sh while keeping base.sh unchanged.
Actually, in the future I would like to make it easier to customize themes, but honestly I don't know exactly how this can be achieved. Any hints are welcome!
