Migration from Argo CD Operator (OLM) to Helm-Based Installation

Hello,

I’m currently running Argo CD operator with the OLM (Operator Lifecycle Manager) and want to migrate to a Helm-based installation. I’d appreciate any guidance on best practices for this transition.

My goal is for the Helm installation to take over and manage all existing applications without disrupting the current setup.

Here’s my planned approach:

1. Delete the OLM Operator’s Namespace: My understanding is that this shouldn’t impact the running Argo CD instance, which operates in the argo namespace.
2. Remove Operator-Managed Resources: I plan to delete the deployments and the argocd-application-controller StatefulSet.
3. Install ArgoCD with Helm: Finally, I’ll proceed with the Helm installation, expecting it to pick up and manage the existing applications.

Could you let me know if this plan seems sound or if there are any adjustments you’d recommend?
