Installation Instruction

  1. Sign up for a developer account on Spotify by logging in and agreeing to the terms of use
  2. Create the Spotify folder if it doesn't exist already: ~/Spotify (Mac OS X and Linux) or My Documents\Spotify (Windows)
  3. Open the Spotify folder
  4. Run git clone git://github.com/areida/spotifybot.git (if you don't have git download and extract the zip from github)
  5. Restart Spotify if it was running
  6. Open Spotify and type spotify:app:spotifybot in the Search box
  7. Enter your slack subdomain and api token
  8. Add Spotifybot to your favorites
  9. Keep Spotifybot open to send your current song to Slack
