Hi everyone, just started working more intensively with CEA. What I've been wondering: there seem to be two instances where you can define technology investment (CAPEX). What's the difference between the two and which one is more relevant in practice?
One the one hand, there are supply Assemblies where you can directly edit CAPEX (EUR/kW) for both decentralized (building) and centralized (district) assets (e.g. heat pumps).
One the other hand, there are are conversion Components where you seem to define CAPEX by means of more detailed cost functions (see example for heat pumps). So what's the difference here?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Tim
PS: Big thanks to the entire CEA team for making the model available – great tool to work with!
