support for Steam's Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver #49
Comments
Hello, forgot to mention in the README that both the Xbox Configuration Support, but also the Extended Feature Support Driver require you to inject steam.exe directly. Steam's driver actually has support for impulse triggers, but doesn't do anything with it unless the game supports it directly. I updated the DLL a while back to support the driver. |
Nevermind I have just checked and realized that I haven't made a new release when I pushed the new code. I'll be going over all the issues and PRs over the next few weeks. |
I will also release the new version later today |
oh my, that's great news! |
Pushed a new release, let me know if it works for you |
Working great! |
First of all, thank you for your work!
Was wondering if there were any plans to update the current version to support Steam's custom driver.
Uninstalling this driver was what actually allowed me to finally be able use X1nput along with Steam Input, but it's never mentioned in the project's README, save a few times in troubleshooting discussions if you dig enough.
However, the driver allows Steam Input to make use of Xbox Elite and Xbox Series controllers extra buttons, as well as support for trigger rumble in games using Windows.Gaming.Input API, so there's some functionality trade off by uninstalling it.
Appreciate any information on the matter, hopefully its still in the cards, cheers!
