Question about TransportClient's pipeline

Look at the initializePipeline method in TransportContext.java, there seems to be only one custom ChannelOutboundHandler("encoder") in the pipeline which encodes from Message to either MessageWithHeader or ByteBuf. Usually Objects should be encoded to ByteBuf and then sent out at last in Netty. So is there any process that convert MessageWithHeader to ByteBuf? Sadly I I haven't found the relevant process yet. Please help :-).
