I've attempted to update to newer python version but it seems that the opencv-python dependency does not have the "non-free" algorithms eg SURF after the 3.4.2.17 release and 3.4.2.17 only seems to support python 3.6

Looks like we might have to upgrade to OpenCV 4.4+ to resolve this.
