Describe the bug

After the release on feb 24th, various users couldn't open spaces. E.g. after already having worked on the platform after the release, Denise got the following screen when opening the DSIH space (by typing in the URL directly). After refreshing the page it was fixed.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior: no clue
Expected behavior
Space to load. If really necessary, a dialog that states you need to refresh the page also would work (which I have also seen at the day of the release when I opened my dashboard for the first time)
Additional context
According to Neil, we should have something in the client in place to detect whether there is a new version of the client.
