End User Food List - Self Editing

Is a user able to remove some of their food items from their dataset? For example if a food item is no longer sold or nutritional information changes due to 'new improved recipe', which may mean that the calories, fat, sugar, etc may change, or you just want to have a good clear out of some foods you don't actually use any more. Is that possible as an end user? Or is the member/user food list just input only?
