Alex, this is pretty useful. What do you think about line lengths? I find myself battling with the older idea of a fixed column number versus leaving things on a single line.

What about spaces? Do you typically use 4 or 2? I find 4 is easier on the eye, but it contributes to the longer line lengths as well.
