Ok, we need to start discussing the plots we want to produce with the Monte Carlo.

From John's diagram here, we have the following tasks:

  • Geometry
    • Code to switch between setups
      • This already exists with the geometry configure files, so all we need to do is create the geometries for each setup (I will open a ticket for this).
  • Tolerances
    • angle and position of target/silicon/germanium/liquid scintillators
      • Does this just involve us modifying these parameters and checking how the result changes? What is the "result" we want to check?
  • Efficiencies
    • We have already calculated the efficiency of the germanium
    • From Nam's presentation in elog:169 we also need to calculate
      • the acceptance of the silicon
      • the efficiency of our particle ID cuts (and, I guess, also decide what it is)
    • Are there any other efficiencies that we need to check?

To avoid this becoming a tangled discussion, once we have a more concrete plan of what studies we need, we can branch them off into separate issues.
