Would this include switching to the Fetch API?

@cdlewis I'm actually not 100% sure where I want to take this, since I've last track of JS since learning (and barfing on) coffeescript. Do you recommend ES2015, ES2016, ES2017, or Typescript? It sounds like typescript is the future. (sounds like a good blog article for http://www.chrislewis.com.au/)

There's currently only 133 lines of JS so far but I wouldn't be opposed to adding a package.json and a transpiler if it's relatively straightforward.
