Hi Larry, Yes, some of the later Beta v1.3.2 boards have a 2.5mm audio jack that can be installed and used to route audio to the USB sound card. However, the instructions there should work with any v1.3.2 board and involves soldering onto GPIO pins 20 and 24. That statement you read should have read "Beta v1.3.2 through v1.3.2.3 supports" So, yes, you can add command and control to your CubeSatSim! Alan |

I want to update my v1.3.2 beta cubesat to v2.0. My main goal is to implement complete command and control. Reading the hardware mod for adding the sound card, I see the following reference: "These hardware modifications to the Beta v1.3.2.3 CubeSatSim supports radio Command and Control using a FM transmitter in the UHF band, sending either a carrier signal, or DTMF tones or APRS packets." My boards are v1.3.2 and are the earliest. I see there are boards version 1.3.2.3 with a position for a J3 jack. The quoted statement seems to indicate only those boards can support DTMF tones. I may be overthinking this issue.
My Question: If I follow the modification steps (soldering wires to GPIO 20 and 24, plugging in soundcard, etc) to my v1.3.2 boards, and upgrading to v2.0 software, can I command and control with DTMF tones?
