Through our primary project, the African Science Academy, we seek out academically gifted young women with a passion for Maths and Science from across Africa and provide them with a world-class STEM education - all on full scholarships.
We believe that women and girls should be at the forefront of Africa’s STEM future. We develop the potential of our students and provide them with the support and confidence they need to be future leaders.

I was reading the section of "Cultivate, Attract, and Retain Biotech Talent" in 2023 - National-Action-Plan-for-U.S.-Leadership-in-Biotechnology and found this interesting section "Method: The Department of Education should work with state and local governments to identify, pilot, and scale creative laboratory models such as “Communal Computing” 62 https://dynamicland.org/ that could help virtually and safely replicate a lab environment that inspires future generations and becomes a societal public good."

So, https://dynamicland.org/ aligns well to what we want not only becuase of its layout but its aims:

  • Aims
    • "We are a non-profit long-term research group in the spirit of Doug Engelbart and Xerox PARC"
    • We are inventing a new computational medium where people work together with real objects in the real world, not alone with virtual objects on screens."
    • We are building a community workspace in the heart of Oakland, CA. The entire building is the computer.
  • Mission is good (no wordy, succinct and understandable) "Our mission is to incubate a humane dynamic medium
whose full power is accessible to all people" and its last message "The dynamic medium belongs to everyone." in the site
  • Love the steps in the website: 1 A communal computer; 2Agency, not apps.; 3Thinking like a whole human.
  • about us with personalised image of the team > https://dynamicland.org/about-us/
