I have noticed that a lot of duplicate files are extracted when extracting icons. This is probably just because there are a lot of duplicate references to icons, but it also might be a sign there is a deeper bug.

In any case we might gain some efficiency by de-duplicating these file references. We should do some investigation and fix any related issues.
