How can I disable adding content to the response programmatically if some condition is met?
For example,

@PawelGIX - before I dig into this, can you please provide the code that is resulting in that link - I don't think I've ever seen tracy appended to a PDF link like that.

It's not a pdf. It's a regular processwire template.
I try to disable the debugger in it when certain conditions are met.

Typically if you are viewing a normal page, the inserted code from Tracy will look like this

This is why I am not sure why your link shows /resources/35/sample.pdf?.....

Are you overriding apache to send requests for PDFs to PHP?

Sounds to me like this is literally a normal page. It's a relatively common scenario to use paths such as theme.css or page.pdf for file data that gets generated on the fly.

I have a vague memory of setting $config->tracyDisabled to truthy value (1/true/etc.) in a similar situation. Perhaps that could work here as well?

HI @teppokoivula - at least when I generate a PDF or ZIP on the fly, I always add an exit(); to the end of the script to avoid any possible HTML output. If that's the case here, then that should work.

Yes, Tracy does support $config for all its settings, including disabling it completely with $config->tracyDisabled = true but I am not sure that will help here because you can't adjust config settings in regular template files which I assume is what @PawelGIX is looking for. The problem with disabling in templates files in general is that Tracy is already loaded. I can look into it more, but I'd like to know if exit() is feasible (and works) in this situation.
