What does Repo-Less mean?
fstab.yaml
) to Sharepoint/GDrive, so that Sharepoint/GDrive (through.config/config.xlsx
) points to a GitHub repository insteadhttps://<branch>--<contentbusid>.hlx.page
Why do you call it Helix 5?
It is the next step in Helix' Architectural Evolution
What other (breaking changes) are included?
helix
from places where it is not needed, e.g. the.helix/config.xlsx
file becomes.config/config.xlsx
, thehelix-default
sheet becomes thepublish-default
sheet, etc.What about backwards compatibility?
Existing repositories will be grandfathered, i.e. we won't break any production URLs, but upon launch of Helix 5, no new
ref--repo--owner.hlx.page
URLs will be supported (no new owner and repos, to be specific). For existing sites,--repo--owner
will be a proxy to--contentbusid
, so that production traffic will still work as before.Any changes to
fstab.yaml
after the switchover date will require a change to the new hostname format.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
