Use of Apache Guacamole

I'm interested in creating this environment in AWS but have limitations as to what I can use. I would be unable to use Apache Guacamole, I'm wondering if there are possibilities of using Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) on another ec2 instance and using that to facilitate the RDP connection the Flare VM instance.

I'm looking to pursue this after the holidays but was wondering if you had any experience setting up the no internet access environment not using Apache Guacamole?
