How to Download a PII Report?

Hi All,

I can download non-PII reports without issue, so that routine is OK. For the PII reports, I am struggling a bit. The code seems fairly straight forward, but I am certain I am not doing something quite correctly.

The Code:

What did I do differently in this code vs the code for running/downloading reports without PII?

Changed this code... (by following the example of downloading PII)

• from this: var reportData = amazonConnection.Reports.GetReport(reportId);
• to this: var reportData = amazonConnection.Reports.GetReportDocument(reportId,true);

And... changed the report to the Unshipped Orders Report (parameters.reportType = ReportTypes.GET_FLAT_FILE_ACTIONABLE_ORDER_DATA_SHIPPING;)

Amazon has confirmed that we have access to PII and there is not an error of "access denied".

The CreateReportAndDownloadFile method, I also cannot get to work; although this seems like an easier route.

When I use the code below for the CreateReportAndDownloadFile, it finishes without error, but no file is downloaded.

Can someone verify that the above syntax is correct for downloading the Unshipped Orders report, using the CreateReportAndDownloadFile syntax? Specifically, the "isRestricted" is set to true. I have tried both true and false, but it does not work either way.

I am working with Amazon to truly determine if we have PII access, which the dashboard says we do, but I simply cannot even get this report to be created--haven't even got to the download part.

With MWS, when we run a report, it shows in Seller Central as evidence. When the above is submitted, we do not see any new unshipped orders report being requested.

I create a project to only focus on the unshipped orders report. The code is below and quite simple, but no report is generated to be downloaded. I wish there was a "simple" way to check to see if PII access was "truly" granted by Amazon, but they tell me "no" (of course). Lastly, the savefile function simply saves the file to the desired location, however, the data2 var always returns null.

A gentle bump on the above.

I updated to latest release of this project, but issue continues. I am still using the same code above, from the code snippets page of this project.

Also, a case was opened a case with Amazon to see if they could see anything on their end of what may or may not be happening. They told me that a report was being generated by the reportID I provided, but there was a "400" error in their logs that did not have any additional information. I originally thought there was an issue with our PII access, but they confirmed that we are ok on the permissions and have access to PII.

Can someone confirm that the Unshipped Orders report can be downloaded using this project? I apologize in advance for my limited programming skills as it could be something I am doing incorrectly. I can say that we have successfully downloaded 10 or so other reports that do not have PII without any issue. Only this PII report (the unshipped orders) gives us an issue.

The next step in the investigation is for us to review the actual response you're using to request the RDT. Please provide the full request you're using in your request, including all parameters and I can make sure the request information appears correct. You do not have to use Postman in the request, we only recommend it as an option so we can more easily replicate issues if we know what program you used.
