I would like to consider adding a competition component to the project, i.e. find/create a difficult search problem with a complex heuristic. Every student could create his own heuristic + his own A* variant to solve this problem.

The algorithms/heuristics would be scored be the best solution found in the given timelimit.
The contents of the challenge are still to be defined.
