issue

  • when building the web-components the style.css is not bundled into dist
  • therefore the design tokens and global styles are not contained in the build and can't be used by an app

context

  • style.css imports the design tokens CSS variables and the global CSS file
  • we used to have a dss-style component with which an app should be wrapped to provide the global styles and variables
  • there is a comment in the TODO.md why the previous setup was changed and what's the drawback with the current solution
