I don't think it is 'broken'. It just doesn't look nice. Also, the edito already supports editing some objects 'in isolation' for example patterns in 6.5 and that makes perfectly sense to me. I tend to think #59340 actually cures the symptom rather than solvign the root problem. Also, I'd like to stress again that consistency is key. Users are already greatly confused because ofthen the editor views work in a different way. SOmetimes users can edit, sometimes not, and it's not clear why. Introducing more inconsistency isn't the best way to provide a better user experience, IMHO. |
