How does AEL compare to Lutris integrated into Kodi via the Kodi-Lutris addon?

What are the advantages and drawbacks of each? Can AEL integrate as many games as Lutris in terms of supported emulators/runners and is adding games as easy?

It may be worth adding info about this to the documentation.

I have no idea about Lutris until I read your issue. I can explain to you what AEL does but I have no idea about Lutris.

AEL can integrate thousands of games. In my collection I have about 40,000 games spread over 50 launchers. AEL is a general launcher programs so as long as you can call you emulator from the command line passing the ROM file as an argument then it can be used in AEL.
