About the request to save the settings, you are talking about this request, right?

As for now, the easiest method to export/import settings is by going to
%AppData%/WindowTop or %LocalAppData%\Packages\25571BiGilSoft.WindowTop_gejtaqnb6x66e\LocalCache\Roaming\WindowTop. The settings.json file there contains all the settings.

If the first path is not working, use the second one (the Microsoft Store version uses the second one)
You can copy the file to the same location to import the settings.

The second issue can happen for a few seconds after you close WindowTop.
The WindowTop process may be still running a few seconds after you exit it.

Does it happen even after waiting 30-40 seconds?

No.I mean saving the settings did not take effect immediately.
Still won't start after a few minutes of quitting.May be the other application named WindowApp too.I don't know how do u determine the stared status. It's hard to test this problem.Checked the code or forget it.

So, if it has an export and import function and the import function quickly loads settings (probably by restarting after import), will it answer your need?

If you change settings via WindowTop settings, it takes effect immediately.
However, some settings, such as opacity level, do not apply to existing opened windows, and they take effect on new windows (that opened after the change).
Maybe you change something like the opacity level and expect it to take effect immediately for existing windows?

If you change settings by editing or replacing the settings.json file, they will not take effect, and you will have to exit WindowTop and start it again. You even need to exit WindowTop before changing the settings.json file to avoid the possibility that WindowTop will override it again with old settings from memory. In that use case, I can provide a feature to import settings.json, and once imported, the app will reload all settings.

I need to know what you're talking about—if it is an issue like opacity level (or something similar) that applies only to new windows or if it is a case of changing the settings.json file.
Or maybe you are talking about both use cases.
