Description

I recommend a dual monitor setup for reproducing this issue. (I have set up the left-hand monitor in normal landscape mode and the right-hand monitor in portrait mode (90° rotation).)

Issue

The anchor mode of WindowTop application is affected when using Remote Desktop in full screen mode across both monitors. The anchor is not created for any windows on the right-hand screen once covered by Remote Desktop.

Notes

  • If an application is floating on the right-hand monitor and covered by another application, the anchor is correctly created.
  • The problem seems to be triggered only by using Remote Desktop in full screen mode across both monitors.
  • Running a video in full screen mode across the right-hand monitor works fine, and anchors are created as expected.
  • I couldn't test other programs that run in full screen mode across both monitors, but possibly a game may reproduce this issue?
  • If I move a floating window from the right-hand monitor to the left-hand monitor (and re-cover with Remote Desktop), the anchor is correctly created.

Summary

The issue is specific to Remote Desktop usage in full screen mode across both monitors, failing to trigger the creation of anchors of applications on the right-hand (secondary) monitor.

Thank you for the information. It's likely related to the fact that this window can expand to full-screen across two monitors. Interestingly, only the remote desktop application does this, but I can attempt to replicate it by creating a dummy window that behaves similarly to see if the bug occurs. Could you inform me which remote desktop program you are using?
