Try adding a GUI! And then be sure to put a screenshot in your readme....

I think you'll really like it and have fun too. There are tons of examples, lots of documentation... success is almost guaranteed especially for utilities. You clearly have no problem coming up with interesting ideas of stuff to make. Put a graphical front-end on them and I think you'll really enjoy what you're making. It's hard to describe the feeling I'm talking about until you do it.... so... give it a go!
