Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

USB dongle for Steelseries Arctis 7 Nova is connected to USB C port in Steam deck. When not playing a game headset stays connected.

When in game, suddenly power to the dongle is turned off. There is a LCD light on the dongle and it is off. Headset drops out. Sound now plays on the steam deck speakers.

Unplugging then replugging in the dongle will connect the headset for a short time. Light on dongle is also on for a short time 10-30 secs. Then disconnect again.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Plug in dongle, turn on headset
  2. Start playing game
  3. Dongle light will switch off within 10-20 mins of playtime

I have tried reducing tdp to 10W thinking it could be a power issue.

Reset PD device also doesn't fix issue

I believe it's a power issue through the USB C port. The dropping off seems to occur as the steam deck battery is lower, possibly <60% or so.

I connected the dongle via a powered dock and the dongle didn't drop off during gameplay.
