Symptoms

Upon selection of the Weather Forecast Map Mode from Cosmic Storms, the game will freeze in the galaxy map, and if you're in System viewer it will freeze upon moving to galaxy map

Reproduction

1. Load/start vanilla game
2. enter galaxy map
3. Select the icon for the Forecast Map Mode on the lower left (it resembles a thundercloud)
4. Observe game freeze

Isn't Stellaris a linux-native title? As awesome as Proton is, why use it in this case?

because running with steam play none because i am unable to get it to run native for some reason causes it to freeze at 100% load with my modlist,
i did my testing unmodded to eliminate that as a possibility
