There is no problem related to this. It's just that I was reading the old, recently revived, blog posts, and one phrase:

the gray cloud is hard to see through, so I suppose in some situations you could count it as a smoke grenade.

made me thinking it could be interesting to have those. Against aliens, I'm not sure it would be useful, since, radar (well, it would be a major hurdle to get aliens to hit, though) but in the claws of aliens...

This might be related to #32

Visual obstruction has the problem that its easy to circumvent for cheaters

I think it would be good if this idea was fleshed out a bit more.

Personally I think it could be an alien offensive weapon that slows or hinders turret and rocket pod targeting but I don't want to direct the idea in that direction before giving you a chance to elaborate on what you had in mind.
