I think the non-commercial is what we want here to prevent companies from using the work to make a commercial game with the gameplay close to ours, using the work.

The design document was published so that the public can review and discuss it, I didn't want it to be recycled for another game or even monetized. If you find a certain use that would require the removal of the NoDerivs clause (note that we explicitly allow format conversion, e.g. to put it on a wiki) let us know. NonCommercial will stay, I don't value the freedom to monetize my voluntary work a tiny bit.
