Flowchart and Sequence diagrams not working

Hi! I was testing this cookiecutter recipe to start a documentation process, being the flowchart and sequence diagram an important feature of it. Sadly, it is actually not working, with this project doc as example.

Thanks to mkdocs plugins I found a workaround with mermaid, but I should notify you of this.
