No Absortion phase on Sofar Solar HYD6000-EP

Hi Everyone,

I have a sofar solar HYD6000-EP, the communication between esphome-jk-bms-can and the inverter works perfectly but my issue is that I only have bulk phase and wait phase. It never goes to absorption phase, at least that is what I see in home assistant. Do you have an idea on why ? Thank you for your help.

Hi, I have found the reason. The jk-bms makes a wrong estimation of the SOC at 99% and the inverter stops charging (there might be internal rule to stop charging at 99%). If I reset the capacity of the jk-bms the soc get lower and charging starts again. Don't know what to do with that for the moment...

Hi thank you for your answer, I'm using Goodwe protocol. Today I discovered a new thing that could interest sofar solar owners. When getting close to the max voltage, the sofar solar automatically slows down the charge current. If I rise the max charging voltage, then the current gets high again.

The current will taper off as you approach the charge voltage, this is normal, and it’s the batteries normal charging curve. Probably not the inverter.

But as far as understood the first phase is constant current charging so the battery does not "know" what is the maximum charging voltage and just has the voltage given by the sum of the cells, right?

It is constant current to the Absorption voltage, where it tapers off and becomes constant voltage.
This is my constant charging current as it approaches the absorption voltage.
