After loading a package with spack man gave an error: manpath list too long

• which is not helpful to testing man pages of spack packages!
• https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54037380/man-manpath-environment-variable-list-too-long-manpath-list-too-long#comment95607649_54134481 says this has been fixed, so we need an updated version installed
• workaround - trying spack to build it
