We have determined to use Python to implement our final dashboard app in Milestone 4.

Issues from TA and peers (Joel)

  • Adjust the title to the center of page and add space between title and the rest of dashboard
  • Add units for "Monthly Income"
  • Include data for all gender combined
  • Add overview plots and cards
  • Update sidebar format and make them more fancy

Tasks:

  1. Formatting:

    • Title position and margin between dashboard -> Chuck
    • Sidebar format and cards-> Ivy
  2. Content:

    • Include multi and clearable options to show all dataset -> Anita
    • Add overview plots -> Hazel
    • Add background image
    • Document functions -> everyone
    • Update github repo README.md and "About" (see instruction in Milestone 4)
  3. Final deployment on Heroku -> Chuck

  4. Reflection on implementation -> everyone

    • What we implemented and what is not yet implemented
    • What is not working
    • What features are not chosen that were planned to be included previously

use cards for all overview instead of the summary chart + cards to be more concise.
