What should happen

Hi. I hope you are all well.
I encounter issue with flickering image in opening scene when Night Shadows are turn on (low, medium, high and very high settings - if Night Shadows are off, image is fine. But cannot turn lamp shadows, which has been implemented by your Team in last few builds). I found topic with the same issue with quick video and description in link below:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GTAIV/comments/1aw7v2i/blocky_flickering_in_the_opening_scene_of_steam/
I am using latest version of GTA IV Complete Edition from Steam with below mods installed:

  • Fusion Fix 3.5.1
  • DXVK 2.5.2
  • Various Fixes 2.0.2
If there was a topic before, which highlighted this issue, I could not find one, so apologise for open new one.

Vanilla bug, not caused by FusionFix.

Hi. Thank you for response. Is it something that might be fixed in future builds?

I don't know. It's very difficult, as we have no leads on the root cause of it.

Ok, thank you.
I would like to ask regarding lamp shadows. Is it possible from technical point of view to isolate this feature from Night Shadows option to make it work when Night Shadows are off? As a result flickering bug can be avoid.

No, and we don't recommend using lamppost shadows because they are a poorly implemented PC exclusive feature.
