[IDEA]: Timers and timed events

I was wanting to write a addon to check RSS feeds for news and post anything new in a channel such a game updates sales and community announcements from our website.

However I cant find any way to create something that runs after a period of time. For my addon I wanted to make the bot check a list of rss feeds every hour for anything new.

This is simular to #662

This can now be implemented using the new plugin support in Bastion v8. Schedule plugin, or monitor plugin is what you should be looking at. The docs are not yet available for the aforementioned plugins yet, but once they are available, you can implement it easily.
