Does it not change the texture? Based on the code you've sent, it looks like the texture IS changing.

Okay so how would I make it so that the texture changes to the image

Do you at the very least have it in the res:// filesystem? If you do, you should be able to load it in like the rest of the images (though, I would recommend using preload() instead of load() since there IS actually the same path for each time you load it in).

You would set the respective node's texture variable to the texture needed. Otherwise, I'm not sure due to the vagueness of the smaller issue.
