how to add plex.direct as a private domain?

using unbound dns all I had to do is add plex.direct as a private domain, but I've been struggling to set it up in technitium.

I have tried adding a primary zone with "*" and "@" for names pointing to the server running plex server, I also tried setting up Conditional Forwarder Zone with similar records but no luck

You need to create a primary zone for "plex.direct" and then add an A record with "@" as the name and IP of your server. Once done, use the DNS Client tool on the admin panel to test the domain name. Once its confirm that its resolving, you can test it with any client on your network. If you still have issues with client, ensure that the DNS server IP is correct on the client and use "nslookup" command to test the domain from client to confirm if its working.

I got it to work by adding both "*" and "@" A records pointing to the servers ip address
