Thanks for asking. There is no option to use hosts file directly with the DNS server. You will need to manually create zones and add A records for it. I read the description on the link you provided. It seems to be useful only for cases when your ISP interferes with the resolution of these domain names. So, if that's the case, you can as well configure encrypted DNS protocols like DoT/DoH with any popular DNS provider and use it without any issues. |

For some Nintendo consoles exists custom DNS servers that allow you to access community driven services. See WiiLink24, previously RiiConnect24 and others.
In my case instead of using their DNS servers I use the list they publish RiiConnect24 with updates on my repo.
With Adguard home I can use a host format file like this one as a blocklist with the Default Blocking mode option that reads:
How can I replicate this behaviour on TechnitiumDNS, so a list that can be hosted and updated from elsewhere does custom IP resolves?
