Hi @insertish,

I found this comment in one of your projects. Could you please provide further information (or, ideally, example image files) so that I can resolve this problem?

Best,
Tobi

I will try to get a repro together or otherwise figure out what I was running into.
I am currently rebuilding one of our services and trying to use this as part of an effort to keep some useful EXIF data like colour profiles & not re-process image data but since I didn't get it to work immediately I left it on the side. I'm nearly done with the rewrite so I'd be happy to try again afterwards!

Alright, let me know when you have more information on this so that I can figure out what is going on and fix the issue.

I tested Little_Exif with some 1500 files. Photos from a lot different origins.
0.6.0.Beta5 is working as it should.
I did not notice something about ICC profiles.- Maybe the problem that ThumbsPlus 10 did not accept some of the files generated by Little_Exif had such problems ? But with Beta.5 ThumbsPlus sees all files as expected.
Of course there are some wishes left (e.g. decoding/creating TIFF and Photoshop tags), which are known and documented here.

I tried to come back to this issue, no particular order:

See issue #12 - this allows better backwards compatibility with older rust versions

The newly released version 0.6.0 has been modified so that it is compatible with Rust versions 1.65 and newer. Let me know if this solves your problem.

0.6.0 Seems to work just fine here.
