You can now 'jump in and out of javascript' the same way you could in crmscript.
Example:

%EJSCRIPT_START%
<%
function print(value){
 	context.result.body += value;
};
%>

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<h1>From outside</h1>

<%
print('I am JavaScript');
%>

<h2>Also from outside<h2>
<%
print('#meeto');
%>
</body>
</html>

The bug described in the original post has now been fixed, so coreMirror will now print out the HTML result (as expected)
